This was our first time visiting Spain, and I’m beyond glad that Barceló Torre de Madrid was our first stop. They made our first hotel experience in Spain a perfect 10/10. We were selected as VIP guests of the day, which was such a lovely surprise! We received a room upgrade, complimentary breakfast, a discount at the bar, and more. The staff was absolutely amazing—so warm and welcoming. The hotel was spotless and smelled incredible (I wish I had asked what they spray!). It’s also in a fantastic location—within walking distance to the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Plaza de España, and the Temple of Debod. There are plenty of great shops nearby and tons of food options around. Honestly, I don’t have a single complaint about this hotel—I loved everything about our stay! Thank you to all the staff at Barceló Torre de Madrid!

Easy to travel to using bus and metro (metro station directly outside the hotel). Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We felt valued and appreciated as customers. It was my birthday and enjoyed a free room upgrade and treats in my room. Room was spacious, clean, and had a great view of the city below. Bed was comfortable. Shower was fantastic. Pool and spa facilities were good. 24hour access to gym was brilliant. We’ve been on loads of city breaks, but particularly enjoyed our stay here thanks to this hotel and its brilliant staff. Christina (on hotel reception) gave us a map of Madrid and talked us through some must see spots which we were very grateful for.

Very nice hotel and staff. Quiet rooms. Perfect location. Turndown service. Very good breakfast. The spa could be better - no jacuzzi and only 6 beds - not enough for such a big hotel. The sauna was good. Very good system with lights - central offswitch and night light switch. Free umbrellas ro borrow. One thing I particularly disliked was that they made me pay upfront via a paylink. It's unsafe and took me a lot of effort to validate it's not a phishing attempt. Booking.com itself removes the paylink. You should let people pay via the platform that they booked through.

We had a large connecting family room - it was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It was on same floor as the lovely indoor pool. Breakfast was perfect with all you'd want, the lobby bar was good and the lobby check in was beautful. Kind staff and the hotel manager Sonia gave us some great tips on what to do in our next stop Valencia. You could walk to many of the best spots in Madrid and it was next to the metro stop. Great food, shopping and sites on the doorstep.

Fantastic location on Plaza de Espana, so very close to the centre of Madrid. Upgraded to a Premium room from Deluxe on arrival so that was a nice touch from the hotel. Royal Palace is a 5-minute walk plus Parque de la Montana, shops and restaurants. The location meant we did not need to use public transport apart from visiting the Santiago Bernabeu via Metro (15mins). It is a beautiful, clean city and felt very safe (including on the Metro system.)
